EXXELIA at PCIM 2019
Exxelia will exhibit custom design power transformers and inductors as well as capacitors at PCIM in Nuremberg, Germany, from May 7th to 9th 2019 in booth #136.
Notable at Exxelia’s booth #136 will be custom design power transformers & inductors such as:
FERRITE TRANSFORMER 100kVA-20kHz
This transformer combines high power up to 100kVA, at very high frequency 20kHz, while still providing a weak leakage inductance. Used in an isolated DC/DC converter, its unique morphology made of U and I 126 magnetic circuit improves considerably thermal dissipation while the litz wire winding reduces high frequency losses. Characterized by a primary circuit at 540V / 350Arms and a secondary winding at 270A, this transformer ensures high performance and maximum leakage current reduction.
3 PHASE INDUCTOR 3x5,5mH-9kHz
Used in a high performance converter, this three-phase common mode choke withstands the highest current up to 580A thanks to the use of copper bar for winding while ensuring a minimal inductance of 1,4mH and filtering the far-reaching noise. This deisgn is characterized by its extreme reliability thanks to its magnetic circuit made of 24 nanocrystalline tores, chosen to guarantee a stable inductance value across the temperature range -30°C to +140°C.
MIL 39006-Qualified Wet Tantalum Capacitors
Exxelia has received the M-Level (1.0%/1000h) MIL-PRF-39006/22 and MIL-PRF-39006/25 qualifications approval for its new ranges of wet tantalum capacitors. MIL 39006/22 and MIL 39006/25 respectively equivalent to CLR79 and CLR81 types feature hermetically sealed cylindrical tantalum cases and axial leads. Both ranges are available in all cases: T1, T2 T3 and T4 with extended capacitance and voltage ratings. MIL39006/22 is qualified for voltages from 6V to 125V and provides from 1200µF @ 6V to 56 µF @ 125V. MIL 39006/25 is qualified for voltages from 25V to 125V and provides from 680µF @ 25V to 82 µF @ 125V. Both ranges combine high energy density with large temperature ranges -55°C up to 125°C and are available with H vibration and shocks features. These state-of-art MIL-qualified wet tantalum capacitors are widely used in avionics applications where high performance and extreme reliability are required. Performance highlights compared to solid tantalum capacitors include more capacitance, higher ripple currents, lower ESR and lower dc-leakage current. “These new ranges introduction leverages our decades of experience in providing high-reliability capacitors for the Military market, and proves Exxelia’s ability to reach the most demanding specifications in terms of product development”, states Exxelia Sales & Marketing VP, Jérôme Tabourel, “We are proud to be part of the few MIL-qualified manufacturers of tantalum capacitors, our flexibility and advantageous lead times will bring new supply perspectives.” MIL39006/22 and MIL39006/25 are available for order now.
Introduction of DSCC 93026 qualified Wet Tantalum Capacitors
Exxelia’s range of wet tantalum capacitors WT84 is now fully qualified to DSCC 93026 drawing for voltages from 25V up to 125V. Available in all case sizes (T1, T2, T3, T4) the family is housed in a hermetically sealed tantalum case and is designed to withstand the most stringent environmental constraints. Thanks to the continuous improvements conducted in the manufacturing processes combined with the high purity tantalum powder used by Exxelia, DSCC 93026 provides the highest capacitance per unit volume. In addition, compared to conventional wet tantalum capacitors, DSCC 93026 features much lower ESR and higher ripple current. DSCC 93026 is qualified for capacitance values range from 10µF up to 1800µF at voltages from 25V up to 125V, and with operating temperatures of -55°C to 125°C. The series is ideal for use in high-reliability defense, avionics, radars and power supply applications requiring high capacitance or high energy storage. DSCC 93026 is available now for order.
